Scarlett Hyde
Fantasy Author
Scarlett Hyde writes speculative fiction for readers who love stepping into new worlds and staying awhile.
A lifelong reader, she grew up devouring books as quickly as she could find them. While other kids gravitated toward television or video games, she disappeared into libraries. She wanted more magic. More wonder. More places where the impossible felt real.
So she started building her own.
She began writing stories at ten years old, finishing her first novella as a young teenager and completing her first novel before graduating high school. What started as imagination on notebook paper eventually became published books—and she hasn’t stopped creating since. Today, she continues expanding her collection of stories across fantasy, paranormal, and modern speculative fiction, always chasing the same goal: to stretch the imagination and offer adventure that feels thrilling but safe.
Her characters are often flawed, determined, and forced to grow in the face of overwhelming odds. Magic matters. Consequences matter. But so does hope.
When she isn’t writing, Scarlett is usually reading, crocheting, or rolling dice at a Dungeons & Dragons table. Her favorite class? A ranger—sneaky, strategic, and comfortable in the space between rogue and fighter. The kind of character who isn’t afraid to get her hands dirty but is smart enough not to stand on the front lines. (It probably says something about her storytelling instincts.)
She lives near Kansas City, Missouri, with her husband and two sons—raising readers while still building new worlds of her own.
